Opinionated distress, or healthy reactions – which is it?

A Persister (purple) who has their Attacker Mask on, with their opinions cocked and loaded is in second degree distress. Statements such as, “That’s wrong and you should be ashamed of yourself!” may come out reactively and appear to be unfiltered, like the Rebel’s Reactions. However, they come from an “I’m OK, You’re NOT OK” position with accompanying words, tones, postures, and gestures.

A Rebel (yellow) may also “blurt” out his/her reaction to something without much of a filter. The difference is that healthy Reactions are delivered from the Emoter Part, without attack, blame, or sarcasm. “This sucks!” is purely a reaction to some stimulus that the Rebel doesn’t like, and does not require anything other than to close the Emotive Channel with something like, “Wow, tell me about it!”
