Isn’t PCM just another way to stereotype people?
No! PCM teaches that there are types in people, not types of people.
Dr. Taibi Kahler has identified six distinct personality types. Each of us has all six within us. Arranged much like the floors of a six-story building, each person’s “personality condominium” is unique in terms of the order of these floors and how much energy a person has to access each part of their personality structure.
Each personality type has a variety of characteristics, such as a preferred language and style of communication, unique motivational needs, and predictable distress behaviors.
The clickable icons at the bottom of the homepage represent these parts, and are a quick reference to accompany relevant content. In our PocketPCM app, you can get instant access to over a dozen different concepts for all six personality types.
A few definitions:
Perception – The filter through which people take in and interpret the world around them.
Prizes – Those things which each personality type values most.
Traits – Capacities of each personality.
