I’ve done my part, what about others?

I’ve done my part, what about others?

For most of us, using process (channels/perceptions) when interacting with others takes energy and intention to learn. However, you will find your communication effectiveness improving with less effort over time. It can become second nature to you with practice. That said, you are only in charge of you, and all you can do is invite more healthy interactions through effective process. If you close channels that come your way, and use channels with perceptions to deal with drivers, you are making deposits in relationships and building trust. In addition, you are helping the other person have the energy to meet you where you are at. The alternative is sticking with your favorite channel, feeling justified in your communication, and continuing to waste mental energy. Yes, ignorance is bliss at times!
